As you might have picked up from the short paragraph on the WVCYC main page, Andy Robison has very generously begun and led a great endeavor once again to raise money for the camp. With the first production being in 2000, Andy has year after year led a group of singers in producing recordings of mixtures of traditional and original religious songs. There are now 4 CDs and 1 Tape available, with the 5th CD (a 10 year anniversary edition) in the works for 2010. Many people have enjoyed and been edified by these songs, and we would like to thank Andy for his hard work and dedication in this work, and the singers (especially his wife and children) for putting up with him through every practice and recording. |

Singers from across West Virginia, and even some from Ohio and Virginia, travel great distances to practice once a month for six to seven months of the year. Then they record once a year at the Sounds Incredible Studio in New Martinsville, with recording time donated by the generous Yost family. These sacrifices are made because these people love to sing and/or love WVCYC. Every two years, a product is released—the last four have been CDs of 19-21 songs. Those involved hope, primarily, they will be an encouragement to many. There are many listening opportunities in today’s multi-media world. It is often a challenge to find good, uplifting, sound, a cappella Christian music. It is hoped that this work contributes to fulfilling that need. The CDs are distributed to those who want them. We ask a $15 donation for the CD. To date, these projects have raised much-needed funds for WVCYC, in the amount of approximately $30,000. This is used for the upkeep of the campgrounds outside Pennsboro, WV, and for providing Christian training to young people during the summer.
